I am fine artist, curator, college art professor and creative director from Barrington, Illinois. I attended Northern Illinois University and earned both a Master of Arts and Master of Fine Arts degree in drawing and installation art in which the curriculum included foreign study of contemporary art and design firms in England and France. My fine art exhibition history encompasses galleries in Chicago including ARC Gallery, Gallery 1633 and the Pilsen Arts Invitational. I was co-curator of the Robert T. Wright Community Gallery at the College of Lake County in Grayslake, Illinois, where I am currently a fine art faculty member teaching Color and Design Techniques and Three-dimensional Design. Other faculty appointments include Elmhurst College, DePaul University and Loyola University, where I served as assistant professor. I am founder and creative principal of Cyan Design + Communications, which provides freelance creative services including fine art curation, graphic design, art direction, copywriting and illustration. Through Cyan Design, I was fortunate to have curated a new corporate collection for Tomorrow’s Technologies, Inc. in Burlington Wisconsin. Other professional highlights include medical illustrations for surgical manuals for the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, designing an extensive line of packaging and collateral material for Bioelements, marketing, branding and design for Allstate, and creation of Bleech Magazine — a national teen magazine focused on self-esteem and fashion for teen girls. On a personal level I am taken with visual grace in all forms and dedicated to the propagation of all things beautiful.
